1.) Money factor:    The Federal government promised the players 1000 dollars for each goals they scored.

2.)  Team coordination: The team were so coordinated with accurate passes which resulted to some classic goals.

3.) Group enthusiasm: The team were so enthusiastic that they trained so well and made themselves available for the coach to use.

4.) Proper training and rest: They trained well and took their rest.

5.) God factor: The people of Nigeria were having a religious festival and they prayed for the success of the game with other religion sect

6.) The presence of some  key players: The presence of some experienced players such as Mikel Obi, Ndidi, Victor Moses, Ighalo and the goal keeper Ezenwa boosted the moral of the team too.
